We understand that the Lord God chooses who will follow him through a covenant, although he will have volunteers who want to follow him, he MUST choose them. It’s his decision for people who are chosen by him to follow. These people are Called or The Called to do the Lord’s purpose.
2 Timothy 1:9
” Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,”
For the Lord is our Judge, the Lord is our lawgiver: the Lord is our King, he will save us.

Let’s look into this authorization of power(from the Kingdom of God).
¶ Then they came again to Jerusalem: and as he walked in the Temple, there came to him the high Priests, and the Scribes, and the Elders, And said unto him, By what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority, that thou shouldest do these things? Then Jesus answered, and said unto them, I will also ask you a certain thing, and answer ye me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things.

Next we see Paul is trying to explain to the Jews (Called) about the Kingdom of God.(God’s authority/Power)
So Paul entered the synagogue and spoke out fearlessly for three months, addressing and convincing them about the kingdom of God.

Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus? Here we see two people, neither are in agreement with considering FIRST the Kingdom of God covenant. This is what Jesus is offering them. They would put following Jesus behind finishing their plans and maybe afterward return to him to follow.
And he said unto another, Follow me. But he said, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father. Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God.
And another also said, Lord, I will follow thee; but let me first go bid them farewell, which are at home at my house. And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.

Why did Jesus say his kingdom is not of this world? When he first arrived, he came as the Messiah. When he returns again, he comes as the Judge, with punishment.
Romans 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; 19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
Then again, Jesus turns his disciples towards the message of the Kingdom of God also:
And when the hour was come, he sat down, and the twelve Apostles with him. Then he said unto them, I have earnestly desired to eat this Passover with you, before I suffer. For I say unto you, Henceforth I will not eat of it anymore, until it be fulfilleth in the kingdom of God. And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, Take this, and divide it among you: For I say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God be come. And he took bread, and when he had given thanks, he brake it, and gave to them, saying, This is my body, which is given for you: do this in the remembrance of me.

As we read, the reference is that the Kingdom of God is an appointment, it has to make an Appearance at a specific time and date for us on this side of reality..especially when doing Communion! Communion is a covenant with the Lords judgement attached to it, linking the government of God to those accepting the Communion covenant of judgement. For this purpose, Jesus instructed the two who he Called to Follow him, and they were to walk in covenant with the Kingdom of God (Covenant Power)
Let’s see another example: And while they heard these things, he continued and spake a parable, because he was near to Jerusalem, and because also they thought that the kingdom of God should shortly appear.

You are coming to Christ, who is the living cornerstone of God’s temple. He was rejected by people, but he was chosen by God for great honor. And you are living stones that God is building into his spiritual temple. What’s more, you are his holy priests. Through the mediation of Jesus Christ, you offer spiritual sacrifices that please God. But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light (Remember when reviewing part 3). For you are free, yet you are God’s slaves, so don’t use your freedom as an excuse to do evil. Respect everyone, and love the family of believers. Fear God, and respect the king.
