How Moses received Genesis

This is an exciting lesson to see our Lord’s relationship with his people and in his spiritual form with many witnesses!

We see John in the New Testament, describing the kingdom of Jesus Christ and the going on of things there. Note how Christ is described:

I John even your brother and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the Isle called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the witnessing of Jesus Christ.

His head and hairs were white as white wool, and as snow, and his eyes were as a flame of fire, And his feet like unto fine brass burning as in a furnace: and his voice as the sound of many waters. And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp two edged sword, and his face shone as the sun shineth in his strength. And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead: then he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not: I am that first and that last, And am alive, but I was dead: and behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen: and I have the keys of hell and of death.

Now let’s look into the flames of fire an burning brass specifications. Here we see Jesus revealed in the Old Testament:

Here the Lord God is introducing himself to Moses:

Then he said, Come not hither, put thy shoes off thy feet: for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground. 1 Moses keepeth sheep, and God appeareth unto him in a bush. 10 He sendeth him to deliver the children of Israel. 14 The name of God.When Moses kept the sheep of Jethro his father-in-law, Priest of Midian, and drove the flock to the back side of the desert, and came to the Mountain of God, Horeb, Then the Angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush, and he looked, and behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed. Therefore Moses said, I will turn aside now, and see this great sight, why the bush burneth not. And when the Lord saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he answered, I am here. Moreover he said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. Then Moses hid his face: for he was afraid to look upon God.

Then the Lord said, I have surely seen the trouble of my people, which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry, because of their taskmasters: for I know their sorrows. Therefore I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them out of that land into a good land and a large, into a land that floweth with milk and honey, even into the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites. ¶ But Moses said unto God, Who am I, that I should go unto Pharaoh, and that I should bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?

Then Moses said unto God, Behold, when I shall come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you: if they say unto me, What is his Name? what shall I say unto them?

And God answered Moses, I AM THAT I AM. Also he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.

And also revealed to another witness soon to receive a relationship with the Lord:

Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonied, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counselors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? Who answered, and said unto him, It is true, O king. And he answered, and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt, and the form of the fourth is like the son of God.

Then the King Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the hot fiery furnace, and spake and said, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, the servants of the high God, go forth and come hither: so Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego came forth of the midst of the fire.

So how did Moses write the creation account in Genesis? Here we have it:

And wherein now shall it be known, that I and thy people have found favor in thy sight? shall it not be when thou goest with us? so I, and thy people shall have preeminence before all the people that are upon the earth. And the Lord said unto Moses, I will do this also that thou hast said: for thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name. Again he said, I beseech thee, show me thy glory. And he answered, I will make all my good go before thee, and I will proclaim the Name of the Lord before thee: for I will show mercy to whom I will show mercy, and will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. Furthermore he said, Thou canst not see my face, for there shall no man see me, and live. Also the Lord said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon the rock: And while my glory passeth by, I will put thee in a cleft of the rock, and will cover thee with mine hand while I pass by. After I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen.

Now what happened after Moses spoke with the Lord? His face shined from being in the presence from the glory of the Lord

After I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen. So the Lord passed before his face, and cried, The Lord, the Lord, strong, merciful, and gracious, slow to anger, and abundant in goodness and truth. Reserving mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity, and transgression and sin, and not making the wicked innocent, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon children’s children, unto the third and fourth generation. Then Moses made haste and bowed himself to the earth, and worshipped, And said, O Lord, I pray thee, If I have found grace in thy sight, that the Lord would now go with us (for it is a stiff-necked people) and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for thine inheritance. And he answered, Behold, I will make a covenant before all thy people, and will do marvels, such as have not been done in all the world, neither in all nations: and all the people among whom thou art, shall see the work of the Lord: for it is a terrible thing that I will do with thee. (For thou shalt bow down to none other god, because the Lord, whose Name is Jealous, is a jealous God.) So he was there with the Lord forty days and forty nights, and did neither eat bread nor drink water, and he wrote in the Tables the words of the covenant, even the Ten commandments. ¶ So when Moses came down from mount Sinai, the two Tables of the Testimony were in Moses’ hand, as he descended from the mount: (now Moses wist not that the skin of his face shone bright, after that God had talked with him).

As a servant on a mission to share the good news, I look forward to sharing the truth from the inspired Word of Lord from the 66 books we reference as the Holy Bible. As in Psalms 105:17 He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant:. I greet you with gladness.
