When we acknowledge the Holy Spirit’s attributes, we can and must include wisdom as one of the most sought after qualities we can have.
The fullness of God the Father, Jesus the Son and the Holy Spirt is seen throughout the scriptures.
Here is where the Holy Spirit was presented descending as a Dove on Christ our Lord in the Old Testament:
Isaiah 11:2 describes how the fullness (seven spirit attributes) of the Holy Spirit was in Christ when he encountered Satan to be tempted of him in the wilderness!
Isaiah 11:2 And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord;
New Testament confirms this:
Matthew 3:16-17
16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:
17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.
We can primarily read the book of Revelation to learn about the spiritual intentions and purpose in the Lord’s kingdom.
Now here is another attribute of the Holy Spirit, revealed as wisdom:
Proverbs 12:4 A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband, but she that causeth shame is rottenness in his bones.
Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies.
The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil. She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.
Let’s understand which subjects are describing an essential part of the Holy Spirit:
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.
1 Doth not wisdom cry? and understanding put forth her voice?
2 She standeth in the top of high places, by the way in the places of the paths.
3 She crieth at the gates, at the entry of the city, at the coming in at the doors.
4 Unto you, O men, I call; and my voice is to the sons of man.
5 O ye simple, understand wisdom: and, ye fools, be ye of an understanding heart.
6 Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my lips shall be right things.
7 For my mouth shall speak truth; and wickedness is an abomination to my lips.
8 All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing froward or perverse in them.
9 They are all plain to him that understandeth, and right to them that find knowledge.
10 Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold.
11 For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.
13 The fear of the Lord is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.
14 Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding; I have strength.
15 By me kings reign, and princes decree justice.
16 By me princes rule, and nobles, even all the judges of the earth.
17 I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.
18 Riches and honour are with me; yea, durable riches and righteousness.
19 My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver.
20 I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment:
21 That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures.
22 The Lord possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old.
23 I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was.
24 When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were no fountains abounding with water.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.
Some will find this a hot topic in religious circles, but it is biblical teaching that wisdom represents the feminine attributes of the divine nature of God within those in Christ’s Kingdom of Heaven. This is biblical and should be taught accordingly.
God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods.
3 And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the Lord: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:
That counts as seven within the Holy Spirit’s purpose. Let’s look closer at these seven attributes again: we have examples that we as a spirit being can encounter him as John did:
Revelation 4:2-5
2 And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.
5 And from the throne proceeded lightnings, thunderings, and voices. Seven lamps of fire were burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.

Revelation 5:11-12
11 Then I looked, and I heard the voices of many angels and living creatures and elders encircling the throne, and their number was myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands.
12 In a loud voice they were saying:
“Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain,
to receive power and riches
and wisdom and strength
and honor and glory and blessing!”

The Holy Spirit’s wisdom provides guidance to those who have asked and are chosen:
And thou shalt speak unto all that are wise hearted, whom I have filled with the spirit of wisdom, that they may make Aaron’s garments to consecrate him, that he may minister unto me in the priest’s office.
And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship.
And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moses had laid his hands upon him: and the children of Israel hearkened unto him, and did as the Lord commanded Moses.
Let’s read where the divine Wisdom reveals herself in the spirit of God.
Psalm 23:3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. In Context | Full Chapter | Other Translations
wisdom is described here:
Proverbs 8:20 I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment:
Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are his:
21 And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:
22 He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him.
Let’s not miss that! Here is another witness to confirm this passage for follow up:
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
Our God provides everything to humanity from himself. We can better understand how wisdom works perfectly within godly council, which the Lord speaks about in The beginning regarding the man and woman called Adam:
1 This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made He him.
2 Male and female created He them, and blessed them and called their name Adam in the day when they were created.
And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: 23 therefore the Lord God sent him forth from the Garden of Eden to till the ground from whence he was taken.
Let’s allow the scriptures to reveal. Then we will see how the council of God is true.
Again let’s identify this verse as confirming what happens within the “Congregation of the Mighty”:
And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord;
- Psalm 82:1 God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods. In Context | Full Chapter | Other Translations
- Psalm 82:6 I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High. In Context | Full Chapter | Other Translations
- Psalm 86:8 Among the gods there is none like unto thee, O Lord; neither are there any works like unto thy works. In Context | Full Chapter | Other Translations
- Psalm 95:3 For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods. In Context | Full Chapter | Other Translations
- Psalm 96:4 For the Lord is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods.
There is an obvious connection between God and his lower case “g” gods.
This god is related to being a child of “God”, an oracle, a message on behalf of:
- any person or thing serving as an agency of divine communication.
- any utterance made or received as authoritative, extremely wise, or infallible.
For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.
13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.
Okay here we are, let’s all look at her:
We must understand how wisdom was granted to the lord’s people at the beginning of creation. The spirit of wisdom was there. Here are more of the testimonies.
And Moses called Bezaleel and Aholiab, and every wisehearted man in whose heart the Lord had put wisdom, even every one whose heart stirred him up, to come unto the work to do it.
And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king:
12 Wisdom and knowledge is granted unto thee; and I will give thee riches, and wealth, and honour, such as none of the kings have had that have been before thee, neither shall there any after thee have the like.
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
To fetch about this form of speech hath thy servant Joab done this thing: and my lord is wise, according to the wisdom of an angel of God, to know all things that are in the earth.
For God giveth to a man that is good in his sight wisdom, and knowledge, and joy: but to the sinner he giveth travail, to gather and to heap up, that he may give to him that is good before God. This also is vanity and vexation of spirit.
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
Not all wisdom is Godly wisdom. Ungodly wisdom is how Eve was deceived by the serpent. It is also known as indoctrination.
And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof and ate, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he ate.
Remember that Wisdom of Proverbs: 8:19 My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver.
This is something much different:
This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.
Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.
We read various indications of (oracles)gods, which are spoken of regarding the reign of Jesus, our Lord God and those who are his:
- Psalm 136:2 O give thanks unto the God of gods: for his mercy endureth for ever. In Context | Full Chapter | Other Translations
- Psalm 138:1 I will praise thee with my whole heart: before the gods will I sing praise unto thee.
In conclusion:
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus,
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the lord.
