How To Read The Bible

It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the glory honour of kings is to search out a matter.

There is a way to begin reading the Bible aka the Word. To read it correctly, we must read it to identify and understand the government of God. As believers, we call this order: God’s Fsmily, his territory and also his Government.

Jesus describes this as The Kingdom:

Matthew 13:11

He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

Luke 8:10

And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand.

John 18:36

Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.

Start by reading intentionally on a distinct topic. It’s best to begin with a Bible that has a concordance. This Concordance is necessary as another essential tool when you begin this journey.

This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones: to the intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men.

Let’s look at God’s Order as a government in the bible.

Here is a close example of our Kingdom of God citizenship in regards to the three branches of government in the United States, primarily because of the name identity is to be UNITED.

We have the legislative, executive, and judicial. Each branch has its own distinct powers and responsibilities to ensure a separation of powers.

** U.S. House of Representatives Wikipedia

Overview of the Three Branches of (U.S.A.) Government

The United States government is divided into three branches: legislative, executive, and judicial. Each branch has specific roles and powers to maintain a system of checks and balances.

Legislative Branch (In Bible: God the Father)

  • Composition: Made up of Congress, which includes the House of Representatives and the Senate.
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Drafting and passing laws
    • Declaring war
    • Regulating commerce
    • Controlling taxation and spending

Executive Branch (Bible: God the Hoły Spirit)

  • Composition: Headed by the President, includes the Vice President and the President’s Cabinet.
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Enforcing laws
    • Conducting foreign policy
    • Acting as Commander in Chief of the armed forces

Judicial Branch (Bible – God the Word/Jesus)

  • Composition: Consists of the Supreme Court and lower federal courts.
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Interpreting laws
    • Evaluating the constitutionality of laws
    • Resolving disputes involving federal law

This structure ensures that no single branch has too much power, as each branch can check the others’ actions.

2 Corinthians 3:17
Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.”

You may notice the Word will move throughout various books and other chapters. So no need to think you must finish a chapter if the topic redirects you somewhere else.

Sometimes what you read will cut you to the core of the reader’s belief system.

Remember: The Word of God is a proclamation of Jesus.

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

This is by design. For an example, let’s begin with topic of Creation:

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Gen.1.1,Gen.1.2,Gen.1.3&version=KJV

We just saw God revealing himself as involved at the beginning of creation..there he is showing himself as a 3 persons being: 1) The God and 2) The Spirit of God and then 3) The Word(Light) of God! We will see that he makes man a 3 person being as well later in the study.

Let’s follow this throughout the book.

In the beginning was the Word, (Jesus) and the Word (Jesus) was with God, and the Word (Jesus) was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.
https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Rom.10.17,Rom.10.18&version=KJV

And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord’s Christ. And he came by the Spirit into the temple: and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him after the custom of the law…Which thou hast prepared before the face of all people; A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.
https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Luke.2.26,Luke.2.27,Luke.2.31,Luke.2.32&version=KJV

God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; Who being the brightness of his glory, and the image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high: Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son? And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.

Now look for the topic of who had given us the account of creation:

And Moses said unto the Lord, See, thou sayest unto me, Bring up this people: and thou hast not let me know whom thou wilt send with me. Yet thou hast said, I know thee by name, and thou hast also found grace in my sight. Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, shew me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight: and consider that this nation is thy people. For wherein shall it be known here that I and thy people have found grace in thy sight? is it not in that thou goest with us? so shall we be separated, I and thy people, from all the people that are upon the face of the earth.

And the Lord said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken: for thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name. And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory. And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live. And the Lord said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock: And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by: And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen.

And the Lord descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the Lord. And the Lord passed by before him, and proclaimed, The Lord, The Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children’s children, unto the third and to the fourth generation. And Moses made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshipped.

Now see where The Word becomes a Covenant:

Old Testament Covenant

And he said, If now I have found grace in thy sight, O Lord, let my Lord, I pray thee, go among us; for it is a stiffnecked people; and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for thine inheritance. And he said, Behold, I make a covenant: before all thy people I will do marvels, such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation: and all the people among which thou art shall see the work of the Lord: for it is a terrible thing that I will do with thee. All that openeth the matrix is mine; and every firstling among thy cattle, whether ox or sheep, that is male. But the firstling of an ass thou shalt redeem with a lamb: and if thou redeem him not, then shalt thou break his neck. All the firstborn of thy sons thou shalt redeem. And none shall appear before me empty.

New Testament Covenant

This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin. Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,

And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Col.1.18&version=KJV

Moving on we have where a time for the end of speaking came to Mt. Sion:

To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,
https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Heb.12.23&version=KJV

For ye are not come unto the mount that might be touched, and that burned with fire, nor unto blackness, and darkness, and tempest, And the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words; which voice they that heard intreated that the word should not be spoken to them any more: And so terrible was the sight, that Moses said, I exceedingly fear and quake:)

And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel. See that ye refuse not him that speaketh.

For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven:

This will result in another the topic, But let’s get towards the end of creation:

Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised: And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.

But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.

But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming.

Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.

For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him. And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.

As a servant on a mission to share the good news, I look forward to sharing the truth from the inspired Word of Lord from the 66 books we reference as the Holy Bible. As in Psalms 105:17 He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant:. I greet you with gladness.
